Customer feedback helps shape product development at Zen Planner, and our latest feature release is a perfect example of this. We are delivering on our most requested feature request for the Member App, a member view of Attendance History! We are thrilled to announce this improvement – here is what you need to know about the new Attendance History feature.
Enhancing the Member Experience
Zen Planner’s new Attendance History feature allows members to view their Attendance History, and for rank-based programs, to view progress towards their next belt or test. This means members can now follow their progress and stick to their attendance goals within the Member App.
Enhancing the Owner Experience
Business owners can now engage and motivate their members through improved Attendance History functionality. Attendance patterns play a major role in member retention, and this awareness of Attendance History in the Member App increases member engagement. Business owners can even notify their members of this feature release by using an email template (“Introduce Attendance History in the Member App!”) in their database we created specifically for the Attendance History announcement.

As a coach, I would love to be able to pull up a list of students who are eligible for my class, and then simply hit a little box beside their name to take attendance. Then having this generate the attendance history goes hand in hand. Its fine placing it in the members hands, but I would rather have that control also/instead at the coach/staff level.
Kids 6:00pm: Click 8 out of 10 kids. Follow up with the remaining 2 if they don’t show up again next class. Next up, adults at 7:00pm, click click click while they are doing warmup or lining up on the wall. Easy peasy.
And ADDITIONALLY, if the students also had their little bubble with their face on it, assistant coaches could learn students quicker, as well as head coaches learn new students even faster (and use their name all the time, simply by checking the tablet screen on the side of the mat).
Bubble with Picture of student. Students full name. And a box for attendance.
Minimize Zen Planner. Open up music app. Crank tunes and enjoy class 🙂
Hey Brad, thanks for sending this along! I’m going to pass this to the product team and see what they say. Let us know if you have any questions!
