A First Look at Zen Planner’s Exciting New Member App

Our customers let us know – while Zen Planner is fantastic for running their business, there’s always been one piece missing; a member mobile app. Until now, that is. We’re in development on a new app, and this time, it’s for your members!

Share Your Calendar

Our first phase, due out later this year, starts with your business’ calendar. It’s easy for your students to see what’s going on at your gym. In addition to seeing when classes are scheduled and class descriptions, your students will be able to quickly reserve their spot in class or on a waitlist.

Customize the App for Your Business

Want to make the app your own? You can fully customize which classes are included, class limits and waitlist parameters. You can also easily manage staff profiles, and decide whether to enable our “who’s coming” community building feature.

Are your members iPhone or Android lovers? It doesn’t matter with our new app – it will be available in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, with full functionality included on both platforms.

Build Your Community

We know that building your gym community is important, which is why we’ve even added a few “app only” features – staff photos and bios, as well as a listing of who has already reserved a spot in class.


The Member Mobile App has arrived, and has new features including Workout Tracking, digital signatures, bill payments and more.

    I too would love to give members the ability post directly to social media from the app. It would help owners spread the word and easy for us who are involved with sweat Angels

      Hi Jordan, the app will go live in early January. We will be sending out emails to our current customers when the app is available for download, and will also make an announcement on our blog and social channels. We will be sure to spread the word everywhere we can 🙂

    Linked to website blog so once I type into squarespace.com I don’t have to again through Zen planner. Social sharing as everyone else has stated.

    Hi, Is it possible to push messages to the members? And is this only possible for the staff members?

      Hello Alexander,

      In the first version of the app you will not be able to push messages to your members through this app. The Zen Planner solution has other automations & SMS message capability to enable quick communication to your members regarding billing, class changes or other important updates.

    Hi, is there a way to connect the app to calendars? If I sign up for a class I’d like to be able to have quickly added to my calendar…even integration with zapier or ifttt would work.

      Hi David, you can export your calendar to your iCalendar by following these steps. We do not have an integration with Zapier at this point in time.     Hi, I’m using Zen Planner in Australia so we don’t have sms integration. Push notifications would be extremely beneficial for me.

    Is this currently being looked at? I see above that it wasn’t going to be included in first instance. Hoping it is in the future.
