Fitness Business Success: Moving From Winging It to Having a System in Place

No matter what type of business you run, there will be times when you’re out of ideas and seem to hit a wall. You’ll try everything you know but can’t seem to get your business to that next level. You’ve seen others do it, so you know it can be done… if only you had the right recipe for success.

Fortunately for fitness business owners, there’s a resource available to help get you where you want to be. Net Profit Explosion (NPE), a fitness business coaching group that helps coaches master “the business” of fitness. NPE holds workshops and trainings across the world, and the outcome for their attendees is always great success.

I recently had the pleasure of joining the NPE team for two of their Fast Forward events. I was so energized by the experience I decided to tell you about my big takeaways.

Inspiration

For both the events, the facilitators opened up with personal stories of their struggles owning and running small fitness businesses. They hit the same wall and used NPE’s vast set of tools to break through to success. Their stories are inspiring and let you know right away that they get it. They know how hard it can be to build the business of your dreams, and they can help you “move from winging it to having a system in place.” (That was my favorite quote by the facilitator in San Antonio, Stacy Wischer)

With just their opening introductions, I was inspired. I don’t own or run a fitness business, but they had my mental wheels turning. We all know fitness and wellness changes lives, and Tom and Stacy were there to share the recipe for success in business- and in making the world a better, healthier place.

The Recipe for Success

Here’s where the actionable stuff came in. Tom and Stacy presented NPE’s foundation plan for business success, and it’s great. NPE has an amazing system in place to help fitness business owners succeed. I won’t give it all away here, but I will tell you my two favorite things they taught.

1. The 7 Steps to Closing– this included insights into effective pricing and packaging, as well as an incredibly effective system to pre-qualify prospects.

2. The Perfect Marketing Mix- this tried and true system will build your business by getting your name in front of prospects and demonstrating to them your unique value

A Network to Rely On

At the end of the day, you’ll have more than a notebook of good ideas. You’ll have a network of fitness business professionals going through the same things you are. Some of your new connections may result in partnerships or collaborations. Others will be great resources for support or advice. The group of attendees at each Fast Forward event is diverse, talented, and motivated to help people get healthier and live better lives. Walking away with a support circle like that in invaluable.
