Matthew Howland was in his third year as a middle school teacher when he started a free after-school program he called Youth Combine. This program was a class-based fitness outlet for students in his school and was born out of concern for the countless number of kids he saw who couldn’t run a lap around the soccer field without becoming winded.
Joining a new team naturally comes with its curiosities. Will the technology be solid enough to build upon? Does the team have world-class makings? In truth, there’s not a day that passes that I am not blown away by the culture of Zen Planner.
It inevitably happens. Sometimes our work life bleeds into our personal life. I love writing code for our software, and sometimes I get so excited about a new feature I am working on I do some work in between office hours. But, on the other hand, I also often bring my girls to work with me when they are not in school.
