It has been less than two weeks since we released our Premium Workout Tracking. I want to thank everyone who checked out the new system and provided feedback. With your help, we were able to make dozens of improvements. Throughout the process, I received several common questions and I thought I’d share the answers with our community.

FaceboardQ: What is the future of Workout Tracking with Zen Planner?

We tested workout tracking last year with the introduction of our Basic Workout Tracking. The feedback we received was that this “basic” solution solved some needs, but many of you wanted so much more. As a result, we invested in a team of product managers, UX/UI designers and developers to build the Premium Workout Tracking solution that was introduced in mid-August. Zen Planner is 100% committed to workout tracking. We’ve already started work on the next version of workout tracking and look forward to sharing these new developments with you soon. We have a passionate team dedicated to making our Premium Workout Tracking the best in the industry.

Q: What is the difference between Basic Workout Tracking and your new Premium Workout Tracking?

Since this question has come up numerous times, we created this handy chart to help compare the two systems. It is important to note that if you are a current user of our Basic workout tracking, you will NOT have to pay for continued use of that service. It is, and will remain a free service. However, Premium Workout Tracking will cost a minimal $25 per month after November 1, 2014.

Q: How did you decide how much to charge for Premium Workout Tracking?

Like you, as a small business we constantly make tradeoffs in regards to product and service investments. By charging a small fraction of what we are investing in workout tracking we will be able to continually reinvest in the solution so it remains the best in the industry. Our most important goal is to provide the absolute best value for our customers. We evaluated our competition and found a couple different pricing models. The first was a monthly rate that ranged from $30 to $130. The second was a pricing model that charged around $1.75 per user. We decided to offer a price of $25 per month, which is lower than a typical monthly rate with any competitive offerings. For our average Zen Planner customer, this ends up being less than $1.00 per user for our entire solution, including our Premium Workout Tracking.
