What is the best part of being on the Zen Planner team?

Two things come to mind about what I like about Zen Planner. I like Zen Planner’s mission to truly make our customers and partners businesses succeed. That is pretty powerful and can positively affect many lives. Secondly, its employees are truly a family of diverse awesome spirits.

My favorite thing to do when I’m not working:

I love all things cycling, mountaineering, and winter sports. A desolate dirt road up a secluded canyon, any time spent up above tree-line is what I seek. A cold beer and a beautiful sunset after a great adventure are rewards I cherish.

What is the best part of being on the Zen Planner team?

The supportive culture. Never before have I worked with such a positive and supporting group of people. Oh and the dogs, snacks, team events, and nerf wars don’t hurt either.

My favorite thing to do when I’m not working:

Pretty much any activity in the mountains, but if I had to pick just a couple biking and hiking would be it!

What is the best part of being on the Zen Planner team?

My favorite aspects of working at Zen Planner are the mentorship and work life balance. I feel so lucky to be in an environment that values continued learning, scrutiny over how and why we are solving the problems we are, but also can cut lose and go for a ski under the full moon.

My favorite thing to do when I’m not working:

I love to snowboard, backpack, fly fish, and cycle.

How do you stay active?

Hiking, skiing, ultimate frisbee… Whatever else is going on!

My bucket list includes:

Trekking in Nepal and spending some time in Kathmandu has been at the top of the list for my wife and I for a couple years. I’d also like to visit each continent. Four to go…

What is your secret talent that nobody knows about?

This is a tough one, so I asked my wife what my secret talent would be. Her response was, “You have the best/worst dad jokes ever.” Nothing could be father from the truth. I dadn’t even know how to respond to that.

How do you stay active?

I am an avid cyclist and general outdoorsy person. I ride my bikes a ton, and suspect I’ll be getting into hiking a lot more in Colorado.

My bucket list includes:

Current objective: Bikepack the whole Colorado Trail.

What is your secret talent that nobody knows about?

I hope to one day build bike frames as a side business. I’ve taken a class to learn how – and was actually pretty good at it.
