Every year Outside Magazine celebrates the companies that make employee health and happiness a priority. For the fourth straight year, Zen Planner made their list of the 100 Best Places to Work in 2016. Ranked number 15, we are one of 33 Colorado companies featured.
When recognition like this is received at Zen Planner, we look to the extraordinary people that make up our team. Each of the eighty or so employees who call Zen Planner home, exhibit a passion for the fitness industry that we serve. Call into Zen Planner on any given day, and you may speak to a yoga teacher, a certified L1 coach, MMA fighter or Zumba instructor.
Alongside the passionate people that make up Zen Planner, the team also benefits from some pretty amazing perks. Discover the biggest benefits to working for Zen Planner:
Focus on Fitness
This year brought about the expansion of the Zen Planner office, which now includes an on-site gym. You’ll often find employees participating in lunchtime yoga and Zumba classes, taught by our own team members. Employees can also take advantage of the on-site personal locker rooms and showers. All of these fitness perks, including a monthly fitness stipend, help to keep fitness and personal health top of mind.
In addition to fitness benefits, Zen Planner offers the team many opportunities to give back to the community. Partnering with Wish for Wheels, a nonprofit that provides bikes to children in need, the company is donating to the organization for every referral we receive this holiday season. Outside of team-organized events, Zen Planner also provides paid time off for volunteer opportunities. Just as important as it is to take care of our team, we work to recognize and donate to the needs of those in our community.
Business of Fun
The Zen Planner culture wouldn’t be what it is without the many team-building activities throughout the year. The recreation softball, soccer and dodge ball teams all had a great run over the summer. And despite the spring blizzard of 2016, the annual ski trip was a major success. Whatever we are doing, the team knows how to have a great time.
Knowing that office dogs can reduce stress and trigger workplace interactions, pups have always been a staple of the Zen Planner office. Dogs big and small run freely from desk-to-desk, often in search of the employees with treats. Our furry friends are a large part of our lives and Zen Planner is great for recognizing the benefits of having them at the office.
